Mr. Facius is presently working as consultant in the field of HIV/STD prevention for a state-wide self-help organization in Cologne, Germany. Prior to this, he worked in a variety of hospitals in Germany as a registered nurse and social worker for substance users with mental health issues. During an internship in November of 2006 at the San Francisco Department of Public Health AIDS Office, HIV Prevention Section, he became familiar with San Francisco’s unique approach to public health and social services. Through this experience Mr. Facius gained valuable hands-on work experience, which contributed to his diploma thesis in “Social Pedagogy” for his Bachelor of Arts in Education.
Social Services, The Netherlands
Ms. Koutroumpeli has over seven years of experience working as a Library Technician for the European Police Office in The Hague, Netherlands and has developed an expertise in resource management, archival organization and classification and research. She has also served as an Archive Administrator for the European Patent Office and Library Technician in the Dutch Royal Pharmaceutical Association. After years of experience in the workforce, she recently went on to successfully graduate with a Bachelor of Arts from The Open University in UK, and also holds a special diploma in social policy and criminology, obtained in 2004. She is enthusiastic about working in a position that would allow her to “assist humanity [and be immersed in] social services.”
Psychology, Belgium
Ms. Vandamme has recently been working as a Program Director at the Seven Hills Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she serves as a valuable resource and counselor to young people with special needs and disabilities. Her expertise is in clinical psychology research, as well as in administering psycho-social diagnostic tools with clients. Her previous experience includes work as a trainee and psychologist at a hospital in Brussels and as an educator/psychologist in Bolivia at a project for high-risk youth. She is trilingual in Dutch, English and Spanish and is highly motivated, flexible and open-minded with a strong work ethic. She has done masters work in clinical psychology in Brussels.
Marketing & Business, Cameroon
Mr. Ediage seeks to learn new managerial and organizational skills. He wishes to share his practical methods of planning, ways to calculate printing estimates for customers, business strategies, marketing techniques and printing techniques. Mr. Ediage has worked his way up through the career ladder at Presbyterian Press beginning in 1996 as an offset printer, Assistant Marketing Officer in 2002 and was promoted to his current position as Marketing Officer in 2006.
Public Relations, Thailand
Ms. Kingwattanant has an extensive background in journalism and P.R. She began her career as a Political Science reporter for the Manager Group, and then as a Senior Reporter for Nation Multimedia Group with a focus on financial news. In her current position as a Senior Manager she works as a P.R. consultant, providing consul to public affairs-related clients. She seeks a training experience to strengthen her skills in P.R., marketing, event management, strategic communications and corporate social responsibility.
Engineering, Ghana
Mr. Foli has extensive experience as an automobile and motorcycle mechanic and in July 2007 completed his education at Accra Technical and Training Center in automobile engineering. He has worked at Mechanical Lloyd Company Ltd as a workshop assistant as well as with Japan Motors as a technician. Mr. Foli also worked with childhood education at Ghana International Children Schools and Child Givers Association of Ghana. He received a diploma from the City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate Examination of Ghana and speaks both English and French.
Youth & Family Services, The Netherlands
Mr. Bouzatti currently works as a Residence Director for Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester, MA, supporting children and adults with mental restrictions and children with development issues. His experience in social work in the Netherlands dates back to 1996 and for over ten years he has been dedicated to enriching the lives of youth, families, and disenfranchised communities through counseling and direct social welfare programs. Mr. Bouzatti’s educational background focused on Pedagogy, Communications, Youth Care, and Management. He has worked in social services in both Egypt and Thailand, and speaks Dutch, English, German, Arabic, Berber, and is currently studying Spanish.
