San Francisco International Program (SFIP) provides international professional exchange opportunities through customized training programs and affordable J-1 visa sponsorship. Our programs are designed to share knowledge, build networks and develop emerging international leaders, who will return to their home countries and transform their communities.
SFIP provides J-1 visa sponsorship through three unique programs:
Global Partners, Bridging Leaders, and Core*. Our services include one-on-one direct support to applicants, training sites, and immigration lawyers to offer customized cross-cultural professional training to foreign-born individuals.
Since 1960, we have welcomed hundreds of international professionals from over 147 countries to Northern California to support leadership training, cross-cultural understanding, and career advancement in fields such as:
Architecture
❙ Engineering
❙ Law
Education
❙ Public
Administration
❙ Social Services
Business
❙ Finance
❙ Hospitality
❙ Management
Technology
❙ Engineering
❙ Communications
SFIP has sponsored international professionals for training
with the San Francisco Bay Area's prominent non-profits and
public service agencies as well as leading technology,
biotech, engineering, and legal firms.
*The majority of SFIP J-1 visa
participants are required to find their own training
positions. Although we provide visa sponsorship in most
fields through our Global Partners Program, we do not
provide training position placement services for the
majority of our candidates. Training position placements are ONLY
offered through our Core Program to candidates with at
least a masters degree and who will be training in the
non-profit, public sectors and/or social services field.
Please do not inquire about training position placement
unless you meet the requirements for our Core
Program.
